A West African folktale about why turtles’ backs are not smooth. In this folktale we learn about how a turtle longs to be a part of some birds’ feast. After much scrutiny the birds allow turtle to join them at their feast. What begins as a celebration ends in a negative way as turtle's greed gets the best of him.
