Patti M. Marxsen is an American writer whose work often focuses on Francophone literature and culture. Her articles, stories, and reviews related to Haiti have appeared in The Caribbean Writer, The French Review, Women's Review of Books, and the Journal of Haitian Studies. In 2008, Tales from the Heart of Haiti was short-listed for the Paris Prize for Fiction. She lives in Switzerland with her husband and was recently elected to serve on the Executive board of the Haitian Studies Association.
