This story book is developed for fifth grade level of reading. Two Haitian children, bored during the summer, explore a cave in Haiti and go back in time to learn their historic past. The children learn what it means to respect and protect others from harm. They also begin to think of creation and God.

 

The book includes reflection questions that encourage critical thinking. A proverb and bible verse help reinforce values of being good stewards of God’s creations.

For use in schools, a teacher’s guide is included.
